Case Study: Canal Water Extraction

Rain for Rent was contacted by a local Irrigation District for a solution to transfer fresh water to the Federal Canal System from the District’s lateral lines.

The flow was dictated at 25cfs and the distance from the district lateral to the canal system was approximately 1,600ft.

The proposed system included three PowerPrime DV325c sound attenuated pumps. Two were to be used as primary pumps and one for backup.

At one point, the customer decided to operate all three pumps which provided a flow of 35cfs. The total fresh water transferred during the rental period was calculated at 1,705,357,440 gallons.
